"The Kimberly knot was originally used to attach reigns to bridles in the Australian outback and is still in use today. The idea behind the Farrah belt was to try and make it and its aesthetics as durable as possible, but to do it by considering the potential within the material before stitching and riveting or unnecessarily compromising the material. I began looking at the potential for this in the Kimberly knot and took its application further to be able to not only anchor the buckle but use the strap of leather itself to become the keeper for the tail end of the belt. After a long process of development and experimentation with wet moulding and compression this eventually was able to be done with the end product delivering exceptional longevity and function that gets better with age"
